Obituary of Terry Robert Place

Williamson: Terry passed away peacefully Thursday morning, January 12th, 2023 at age 76. Predeceased by his parents, Leman and Charlotte Spencer Place and his brothers, Leman and William Place. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rosemarie Place; sons, Jeff Place and Chris (Carolyn) Place; grandchildren, Madison and Nathan Place; cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Terry spent his early years in the Navy, serving on the USS Okinawa during the Vietnam War. Terry later trained as a pipefitter, and worked for Dupont for nearly 40 years with great coworkers and friends. Terry enjoyed his time fishing for salmon, bass, and pike. He worked on many cars and boats, and spent countless nights and weekends on home, yard, and whole-house renovations projects throughout the years, and houses. He was a true family man who loved his family and dogs.

His family will receive friends Thursday, January 19th, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Terry's graveside service will be held Friday, January 20th at 11:00 am in Lakeview Cemetery (3945 Lake Rd., Williamson). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Humane Society At Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place , Memphis, TN 38105.
