John was born in Latham, N.Y. in August of 1921. A World War II veteran, he served proudly in the Army 1st Battalion under General Darby. John graduated from Sienna College and spent his career as a Manufacturer's Representative, primarily in the woman's apparel business. An active member of St. Salome's parish, John was an Irondequoit resident for the last 53 years. John was an avid golfer, starting the game as a caddy in his teens and playing into his mid 80's.
He shared his passion for the game as well as some golf pointers with his children and his many golfing friends. Thanks to St. Ann's Community 8th floor where John received gentle care from his many "girlfriends". The family is also thankful for the care he received at the Rochester General Hospital dialysis outpatient unit. His life will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday July 23 at St. Salome's Church 4282 Culver Rd. Irondequoit. Please consider a donation in his memory to Honor Flight Rochester at www.honorflightrochester.com; a service for local WWII veterans. The family requests the courtesy of no flowers.
