Ruggieri, Anthony G. "Tony" "Junior" Irondequoit: Passed away peacefully on March 24 at the age of 66, after a courageous 3 year fight with cancer. He will join for all eternity his infant son, Mark and his parents, Anthony and Josephine Ruggieri; leaving behind his beloved children, Christopher(Andrea), Jodi(Greg) Johnson, Casey, Brendan, Justine; granddaughters, Alexandra, Erica and Viala; sister, Guane "Corky" Aloi; brother, Samuel(Mary); paternal aunt, Yolanda Cavagrotti; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special devoted friends, John(Carol) Toscano, Terri Luther, James and Cathy Hauser and their children, Sara, Hannah, Julia; beloved pets, Maggie, Jade and Max. The Family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to the many caring, compassionate and dedicated doctors, nurses and caregivers at Rochester General Hospital, the Oncology Cancer Center, Visiting Nurse Service and The Heritage. Tony was a teacher at Greece Arcadia High School and an honored member of the Greece School District for 35 years, where he developed life long friends of fellow teachers and the admiration of hundreds of students. "Dear Dad, Grandpa and Junior, you will be missed but never forgotten" His family will receive friends THURSDAY 7-9 pm and FRIDAY 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family SATURDAY 10:00 AM at ST. CECILIA CHURCH for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Lipson Cancer Center
