Ted and Joyce of course were always a great part of my life. My parents and Ted and Joyce were great friends. As a young person, I saw the evidence that life as an adult could be full of fun! Ted was always so full of life and always funny. He was a good father. Although I have not seen him in decades I will always rememeber him with GREAT fondness. He is missed.

Oh, I forgot to give an update about my dad. He returned to St. Ann's for additional rehab the day after Easter Sunday. He is suffering from gout in his ankles in addition to some other problems. We think about you all especially during our time in the dining room on the third floor!

Dear Joyce, Denise and family, We were so sad to hear about Ted's passing. It is such a joy for my Dad (Wayne Bud Moody) to meet him while at St. Ann's rehab in January. It was also wonderful that I was able to reacquaint with Denise, and that my entire family was able to have visits with your Dad while visiting my father. My husband, Paul, and I had hoped to make a personal visit on Saturday, but unfortunately we were not able to. As it turned out, another friend who went through high school with Paul was also at Harris on the same day. Ted and Norm Dandurand walked together to Heaven's Gate. Once again, we send our sympathy to your entire family. He was a wonderful man. With sympathy and love, Lorraine Griggs

The family of Stella Szatkowski-Meyers extends their heartfelt condolences to the family of their cousin Ted. While we may not have been close or in touch over the years, we nevertheless share in the sadness of the loss of a husband, father, and grandfather. We were touched by viewing the video and felt saddened that we did not have the opportunity to know such a wonderful man was a part of our extended family.
The matriarch of our family, Stella Szatkowski-Meyers, was the sister of Ted's father, also, named Theodore. She was married to Conrad Meyers and they had nine children, most of them still living in the Monroe County area.
It is truly unfortunate that in this day and age families are not able to maintain closer connections.
May your wonderful memories sustain you in the days ahead.

So many great memories of our time with Ted and his family. One particular memory of how he showed so many of his skeptical fellow Elks how much money they could make selling snow cones at the first Irondequoit Town Festival. He was always ahead of the curve when it came to making money for the Elk's favorite charity. A very hard worker who knew how to have fun too. One great guy.

My dear sweet father,
You taught me how to be strong, but you never prepared me for this. My heart aches for the loss of the greatest man I have ever known. You were the most kind, gentle, caring, understanding, generous, patient, honest and loving Dad ever. You always told us how lucky you were to have such a wonderful family, and how proud you were of me and my photography (which I caught from you).
But I am the luckiest person in the world to have had you for my father. Besides being the most handsome, happiest, and funniest barber in Irondequoit, you could fix anything, figure anything out, and make everything better no matter what it was. You taught me to always do the right thing. I only hope that I can live up to the values you instilled in me. I love you Pop. May you rest in peace. Michelle

Dear Mike & Lynn,
I am so sorry for your loss. May the road rise to meet him. May the wind be always at his back. May the sun shine warm upon his face. May the rains fall soft upon his fields and until we meet again, May the Lord hold him in the palm of His hand.
