Windham, New Hampshire. Died Monday morning, April 29th at Windham Terrace at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband, Dr. David A. Cappiello who died January 27, 2007, and her brothers, Francis, Gary, and Grant Haggerty. Mrs. Cappiello is survived by two sons David B. (Catherine)Cappiello of Williamsville, NY and Gregory G.(Josephine) Cappiello of Windham, NH; four grandchildren Bonnie C., Andrew D., Anthony D. and Olivia R. Cappiello; a sister Carmel(Robert) Farley of Dracut, MA; sister-in-law, Eileen Haggerty of Hartford, CT; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 26, 1922, the daughter of the late Francis and the late Anna (McKay) Haggerty, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School where she was a Major in the LHS Girl Officers. She then went on to graduate from Lowell Technological Institute (now known as UMass Lowell) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Engineering. Before retiring, Mrs. Cappiello was a Professor at the Buffalo State College in the Industrial Arts Department. Later in life she continued to work part time as a Liberian. Being all about family, Isabel loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.
Her family will receive friends Tuesday 4:00 - 8:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Services and Interment will be held in private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing may make contributions in her memory to New Hampshire Catholic Charities, PO Box 686, Manchester, NH 03105.
