Van Lare, Harold
Irondequoit: Passed away peacefully, Friday, July 26, 2013 at the age of 92. Harold is pre-deceased by his wife, Jane; great granddaughter, Samantha Rose Chermak and brother, John Van Lare. He is survived by his sons, William(Marilyn) Van Lare and Thomas(Jackie) Van Lare; grandchildren, Michael Van Lare and Mary Jane(Timothy) Chermak; great grandson, Matthew Issac and several nieces and nephews.
Thank you to the staff at the Jewish Home, especially the 6th floor southwest wing, for the beautiful care he received the past year and a half. Also, a thank you to Lifetime Care for the hospice care he received the last few months.
Harold was a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran. He was a retiree of Stromberg Carlson and after retirement, he drove school bus for 17 years. Harold loved to draw, paint and play golf. He also was a fan of the Buffalo Bills.
No prior calling. Friends are invited to meet the family WEDNESDAY 11:00am at the funeral home for his memorial service (560 Kings Hwy S). Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
