We love and miss Gramps and Grandma.
Some of our fondest memories as kids were with grandpa and grandpa. Adam and I are talking about all of the fun times we had with our grandparents. We always used to eat peanut butter crackers from the pantry, and like Shelly said, steal candy from his dresser drawer! Grandpa loved to watch the bird feeder in the back yard and Adam and I would sit on the patio with him. We also remember his royal blue Buick with the code to get in and pop the trunk when you press the extra 5. He would take us for drives out to the vegetable stands to pick up corn on the cob for dinner. Grandpa was very proud to tell us that "This is my favorite road. Nobody ever passes me on this road!" .... About 30 seconds later a car passed us on the left, and we just laughed in the back seat. Adam just said he attributes his derby winnings to Grandpa for taking him to the OTB when he was young. Adam also remembers playing mini-basketball in the basement and "whipping" darts at the map behind the bar in the left corner. We will never forget their pink house, the flower couch and eating at the round kitchen table with where Grandpa sat next to the doorway to the hall. Most of all we will always cherish the love our grandparents had for us and our family. xoxo We love you!

The photos bring back better times, the times before the strokes. I remember how much he liked to pick the horses. How, like Uncle Johnny, he was a regular at OTB, and a frequent visitor to the track. How excited he would get when he picked a double, or trifecta. I remember how much he loved his Yankees and Bills, and how he would curse Jim Kelly whenever he made a bad play. I remember how much he loved his garden. How he loved to work the soil. How his tomatoes were his pride and joy, and how he used to select the hottest of his hot peppers to sprinkle on his Sunday Rigatoni, or as he called them “rigadons
He was a kindhearted, good natured, man who never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was there for me whenever I called. I remember the hours and hours he and Mom spent painting and staining when I built my house in Mendon. He loved spending time with his grandkids, and he truly had a special way with them.
These are just some of the things I remember about my Dad.

I always looked forward to going to grandma and grandpa's house when I was younger. Me my brother and Sister would play in the yard for hours. I remember sweeping the back patio every time I was there. He use to pop me popcorn on the oven then serve it in a big brown bowl. It was the best popcorn, I've yet to duplicate it. I have so many great memories growing up with grandpa. From coloring when I was really young to patching a bike tube when i was old enough. He is one of the reasons I pay so much attention to detail now. We were very fortunate to have such great grand parents growing up. I miss you and love you both.

I love and miss you Grandpa.
His grandchildren were very special to him. Grandpa and Grandma always took us to parks growing up. I remember Hamlin Beach the most. Bacon & eggs in the morning and hots & hamburgers in the afternoon. I remember walking up to the snack bar with grandpa for ice cream. Grandpa had a sweet tooth and we all knew it. All the kids used to sneak candy out of his dresser drawer. I loved grandpas roses that he planted for grandma. Recently, I told my husband he needs to do that for me. Grandpas shed was great to play in but most of all I loved watering his vegetable garden. Sunday dinner would not be the same without his hot pepper cut fresh from the garden. I always had to have a small piece on my "rigadoons." Grandma and Grandpa's basement was the coolest place to be. I remember the race car tracks that he set up down there for my brothers and I and the Man on the Moon pictures. Most of all it was fun to explore all the mementos that he collected and hung up over the years. Grandpa and Grandma built a beautiful dollhouse and all the furnishings for me when I was seven. Now I can pass his handy work down to my daughter along with the stories of handmade tiny dressers. Thanks for everything you did for my mother and brothers growing up. I love you.
