Dear Galuga family,
The passing of mama brings me sadness yet I am filled with joy of fond memories when she took me in to live at the Galuga house for the summer of 1985. It was then I became an honorary “Uki� and began to experience the rich culture, warm friendships with the entire family and the amazing food. Did I say food … mama was a great chef and made the best pierogi (varenyky) and golumpki (cabbage rolls) ever and Jurij and I used to raid the freezer sometimes late at night after a good night on the town. I will always appreciate such generosity extended to me and these memories are enshrined forever in my heart.
