To the Family of Fannie Constantino,
I want to send thoughts and prayers your way at this time when Fannie has entered into eternal life.
My mother Flora Persia D'Amico was a first cousin to Fannie and all her siblings. Fannie's mother Mary (DiLaura) Perrotta and my mom's mother Ernestine (DiLaura) Persia were sisters.
Prior to my mother's death in 2001 at the age of 93, whenever my mom was in the Rochester area she would always visit with the Perrotta clan - especially Minnie, Fannie, and Betty Lou. My sister Marlene (D'Amico) McLaurin or myself stayed at Fannie's house with our mom during these visits.
As often happens, as our parents age and pass on, we lose touch with the people to whom our parents were close. Fannie and her siblings fall into this category. My sister and I have fond memories of visiting with the Perrotta clan over the years - sharing a meal at one of their homes, laughing, and reminiscing.
It is these memories that filled my mind and heart when I heard of Fannie's passing. The picture in her obituary captures the smile that was so characteristic of her. She was a wonderful host to us. May she enjoy the peace that only God can give and the joy of being with all those who have predeceased her.
And for all the numerous offspring listed in her obituary most of whom I do not know, be assured that she will continue to pray for all of you as she did in this life. No doubt she will be interceding for you in the next life. Don't hesitate to turn to her in your needs as you did in this life.
With a mixture of sadness and joy – for her life has not ended but has changed, I remain
