Dear Kim and Gena,
I was stunned and deeply saddened to hear of Gerry's passing. The world has lost a very kind and caring individual. Gerry's thoughtfulness was inspiring to me. I will miss having him as a patient and wish that I could have spent more time with him just hanging out and enjoying baseball together. You are in my thoughts and prayers this holiday season.
Warm regards and deepest condolences,

While Jerry worked Security for Sutherland I had the pleasure to interact with him every work day. He was a kind and gentle soul, always willing to help out. On Thursday 12/19/13 he saw how busy I was in HR and stopped me to quote a bible verse. I thanked him. Later on that day, still hurrying around I told him I was trying to remember what he had told me. So he said he'd write it down.
At the end of my day there was a note under my office door. Phillipians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ, which strengthened me.
King James Version
Thank you Ann!
Jerry
The next morning I found out he had passed. I will forever remember this message as it was meant for me delivered by a messenger of God.
May God grant you all strength and comfort during this difficult time.
Thank you Jerry for you beautiful gift of comfort.

I grew up with Jerry since I was 4 years that I can remember. We were the bestest of friends - Always playing games, Baseball, Hockey Foot ball and trading Baseball/football cards. I would make him listen to records in my garage over and over, But he really didn't mind. Always had a smile on his face and always willing to help anyone in need. To family I am very sorry for your lost, he was a honest good man. He will be very much missed.

I worked with Jerry and we would spend as much time as we could discussing our families and our respective interests. When I found out about his passing, I thought it was a bad joke. He was such a great man and I wish your family the best in this hard time. You deserve it, just as he did.

Our dear friends Kim and Gena,
You have been continually in our hearts and prayers. Jerry was a dear friend and he loved God so much. His passion for speaking the truth no matter what surely made him one of a kind. Last time he was at our home and showed up with war paint under his eyes determined to win euchre that night, he stayed quite some time after everyone else left and it was clear God was working in him as he passionately talked with such strong love for you both. He is incredibly missed. We love you very much. Know our hearts are with you every day,
Charlie and Rita

Gena,
It was heartbreaking to hear about the loss of your dad. I know that you will make him proud, as you are already such a wonderful young woman with great determination. Although I never met your father, I know he must have been an amazing man just by reading your heartfelt post and by seeing how well he and your mom raised you. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time. If you want to get away for a bit, you know that you are always welcome in our home. God Bless you and your family.
