Irondequoit: Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the age of 88 surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her husband of 54 years; Edward "Ted" F. Hoag. She is survived by her children; Sandra McKague, Faye (Gregory) Kurtz, Ronald (Norma) Hoag, her grandchildren; Kelly Marapese, Jeffrey (Sherri) Kurtz, James (Cheryl) Kurtz, Kristy (AJ) Vellozzi, Thomas (Allison) Champion and Conner Hoag, great grandchildren; Brianna Gasser, Ryan Morgan, Madisyn and Callan Jaworski, Katie Kurtz, Joseph and Giovanni Vellozzi, great great grandson; Sincere Laureano, nephews; Steven (Ruth) and James (Lois) Meyer, sister-in-law; Margaret Miner and many nieces and nephews. She was a charter member of The Lutheran Church of the Transfiguration, a Past Right-Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Girl Scout Leader, Den Mother and Sunday School Teacher. Her favorite past times were camping, knitting, gardening and spending time with her family. Her family will receive friends SUNDAY 1-5pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family MONDAY 11:00 AM at LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE TRANSFIGURATION for her funeral service. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Point Pleasant Fire Association, 55 Ewer Avenue, Rochester, NY 14622 or Luheran Church of the Transfiguration, 3760 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14622 .
