Ralph, Maureen, Sharon and Brian:
Paul and I were truly saddened to hear of Marcia's passing. We so wanted to be at her service, but unfortunately were not able to get the time off from work. Though the body may fail, the spirit weaken, the soul remains strong and deep in faith. God decided it was time to call Marcia home to be with him. She is finally at peace and no longer suffering. She is reunited with those who have gone before her. Though she is no longer physically with you, she will always be with you and your own family members in spirit watching over you. We are all better individuals for having had the pleasure of knowing her as either wife, mother, sister, aunt or friend.

I did not know Marcia directly, but I have had the pleasure of knowing her son Brian since 1990 and her daughter Sharon a little bit through Brian. I can tell Marcia was a great role model. Out of all our friends, these "kids" have always had a gentle, rational and even disposition that has settled many heated moments in our group of friends. Brian has always been extremely generous (especially when it involves moving heavy furniture). As I raise my own children, I respect the parents of my friends more and more as I realize that these excellent character traits are not taught in school, but are learned from their great parents. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Zimmerman family and the loss of a great Mom.

I met Marcia about 20 years ago when she worked and I volunteered at the Irondequoit Senior Center. We've had many years of friendship and I will miss our get-togethers. She was always smiling and cheerful and loved her family more than anything. I loved to hear how her children and grandchildren were doing over the years she was so proud of them. I am so sad to think we won't be able to grow old together.
My sympathy goes out to Ralph and all the family. You were lucky to have Marcia in your life as long as you did.
