I see this picture, close my eyes and I'm walking the halls of McQuaid again with my friend Dennis thinking of ways to torment the Jesuits. Dennis was a wrestler, a very good wrestler. He was also a good friend with a great laugh, and we laughed a lot back then. Rest in peace my friend.

The news about Dennis was a surprise to me. I like others, knew him on the wrestling team. I had the pleasure of wrestling against Dennis and Keith during Coach Roselli's somewhat vigorous practices, as we were all close in weight class. You couldn't find a tougher opponent or more dedicated teammate. He enjoyed joking around as much, if not more, than the next guy. It was with great sorrow that I received this news.
To his entire extended family, I offer my sincere condolences.

I just wanted to express my condolences to the entire Bader family. I remember Dennis just as his picture shows him. Our neighborhood was packed with fun kids and Dennis was one of them. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers for all the family. Peace to you.

My most vivid memory of Dennis is when he once wrestled a tough opponent, and he did something I had never seen before or since. He went into acting like a crazy person, dancin and a prancin. It sure got everybody's attention, including the ref who obviously had not seen it before and was unsure how to react. I don't remember who won the match, but I will always remember Dennis coming up with a novel way to try to beat his opponent, and leaving us wondering where that came from.
At a recent McQuaid reunion, he was full of life, and seemed very happy to make connections with old friends. I think he had a much better time then he expected. He was so full of life, and still crazy after all these years. And yes, he will be missed.
