Spring and Fall
By Gerard Manley Hopkins
Márgarét, áre you gríeving
Over Goldengrove unleaving?
Leáves like the things of man, you
With your fresh thoughts care for, can you?
Ah! ás the heart grows older
It will come to such sights colder
By and by, nor spare a sigh
Though worlds of wanwood leafmeal lie;
And yet you wíll weep and know why.
Now no matter, child, the name:
Sórrow’s spríngs áre the same.
Nor mouth had, no nor mind, expressed
What heart heard of, ghost guessed:
It ís the blight man was born for,
It is Margaret you mourn for.

Great photos of Maggie and the Egglestons in the Tenth Ward
and in later years w/ Jim and family in Irondequoit. Fond memories
of #7 Playground as well.
Jim and Maggie were two very special people in whose presence
I always felt totally comfortable and free to utter any opinion
"w/ drink taken " w/out harsh words being exchanged.
I shall miss them deeply

As the song goes " You light up my life" that's what your Mom did to all of us at St. Joseph"s Nursing School. Our class loved Maggie. She always had a smile (and her giggle ) for each of us. We all had been praying for her and will miss her. May she rest in peace and enjoy the fruits of her labor.
Love "Rosie"

Thank you so much for the photo's you included in the video. I'm a classmate of Maggie at St Joseph's Hospital in Elmira and I knew your Dad, Jim, as well. We have all been praying for you and Maggie . The class is a close one as we all lived together in the dorm for three years and were more like sisters. One of our members, Joanne, keeps us all together with her emails. Please know that you are in our hearts . I'm way out in the northwest and wish I could be there with you.
Love,
Pat Bronson

Jane, Tom, & Barbara,
Something you might not have known: Your mom was one of my biggest inspirations in choosing to go into nursing. She was one of the trusted adults I went to to talk about nursing as a career. We talked about her alma mater St. Joe's, I considered it and even applied, but it was your mom who later then talked to my dad, who encouraged me to go to a 4 year school instead. After college, when my first nursing position was at RGH, she was the comforting familiar face who put my young nurse's nerves at ease on my first week on the job. We'd pass each other in the hall...her coming off shift and me coming on...and she'd always have a smile and word of encouragement for me...then joke about how she was such a large part of my childhood (my being best friends with Jane) and how we were now colleagues. Small world.
My prayers and thoughts are with you. God Bless Maggie. xo
