Sweeney, Virginia A. (Denniston) Irondequoit: Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the age of 65 after a long battle with COPD. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Charlie; sons, Steven (Michelle) & Bob (Lisa); daughter, Kathleen (Ryan) Vasey; grandchildren, Emma, Madeline, Charlie, Derek, Jillian, William, Lily & Ella Rose; siblings, James (Kathleen) Denniston, Carol (George) Barry, Louise Patterson, Susan (Ron) Modzel, George (Kathleen) Denniston, Helen (Andy) Bills, Peggy (Larry) Smith; sister-in-law, Mary Seidel; many nieces, nephews, cousins and all her beloved daycare kids. Ginny was the founder of Create a Square Bless a Child, which has brought over a thousand baby blankets to charities in Rochester. Her family will receive friends Tuesday 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Wednesday 11:00am at Holy Cross Church for her funeral mass.
