Dear Carolyn, Janet, Martha and families, We are so sorry for the loss of Uncle Jimmy. He was a wonderful and sensitive person, with many great memories of his happy life that he loved sharing and we loved hearing about I plan to be at the calling hours as will other members of the DeClerck family, including my Mom, Lucille. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the funeral on Saturday since my husband Dean's brother suddenly passed away a week ago and has a memorial service at about the same time. Uncle Jimmy shared many adventures of his past with me during our telephone conversations and visits. One that comes to mind is the time he was sneaking up the stairs at midnight after a date with Jean hoping not to be found out only to be met by a stern mother who admonished him about the hour. I also loved to hear his love poems to Jean. I will miss him and remember him dearly.
