Obituary of Walter J. Roth

Roth, Walter J. Irondequoit; Monday, June 22, 2015 at age 84. Walt is pre-deceased by his brother; Raymond E. Roth, Sr. and several cousins, and is survived by his sister-in-law; Dolores Roth , nephews; Ray (Pam) Roth, Jr., Tom (Kathy) Roth , Bill Roth, Walt Roth, nieces; Cathy (Tom) Kent, Donna Ruffell, Dolores (Jim) Benton, Caroline Roth, Bette (Steve) Reynolds, Patty (Jim) Kent, Margaret Cousins, Sandy Roth; 27 great nieces & nephews & 24 great, great grand nieces & nephews as well as many cousins, especially George & Rosanne Madden. Walt was a graduate of St. Ambrose Catholic School & Aquinas Institute and was a retiree of VWR Scientific. Walt served in the U.S. Army as a Company Clerk during the Korean War. Walt was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball & Duke University men's basketball teams. Walt's family would like to thank the St. Ann's Community for the many years of care beginning at Chapel Oaks and eventually at Cherry Ridge & St. Ann's Nursing Home. His family will receive friends FRIDAY 5:00 - 8:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family SATURDAY 10:00 AM at ST. ANNS HOME CHAPEL for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Walt was a very generous man and contributed to many charities, so in keeping with his spirit, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice
