Fabris, John Anthony
Irondequoit: Passed peacefully surrounded by family on September 6th, 2015 at the age of 87. Pre-deceased by parents Oliver & Annette Fabris. Survived by his wife Dorothy, brother Leo (Audrey) Fabris; children Alan (Becky) Fabris; grandchildren Nicole Hushla (Justin) Re, Lacey Senese (Mark) Witt, Kayla & A.J. Fabris, Kellin Senese & Kerri Cadwell, nephews David (Heather) & Nash Fabris, niece Debbie (James) Coon, step children Paula & Ralph Senese, beloved dog Jolly, and many extended family and friends.
John loved fishing, cooking and caring for his family. He was the Executive Chef at the Historic Spring House restaurant for over 25 years, recipient of The American Culinary Federation Rochester Chef of the Year Award (1982), and WWII veteran in the U.S. Navy.
His family will receive friends Friday 4:00 - 7:00pm at the Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are also invited to meet the family Saturday 10:00am at St. Kateri at St. Cecilia Church (2732 Culver Road, Rochester, NY) for his Funeral Mass. Celebration of Life luncheon immediately to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Irondequoit Food Pantry at 4275 Culver Rd, Rochester, NY 14622.
