Therese,
You most likely do not remember me but I remember your kindness at one race in particular, where you gave me encouragement some years ago. You still remain my heroine. I remember your husband from various triathlons, His strength holds true.
Please accept my condolences

My condolences on the loss of your love one. Greg and I met through my association with REOC Bistro. I found him kind, courteous and professional. Early on I saw that Greg had a passion for his work and students. I hosted several functions and got to appreciate what he brought to the College and students through his labors. He will be missed, God bless you and yours during this time and beyond.

he was my favorite teacher that I had when I was still in cooking school together I even remember the time when I got to be on camera for the tomato scare and he thought that it was funny when he saw me dancing when I was cooking. he even encouraged me to like running in a 5k to help give back to others who really need it more. I have done four 5k/s since than and know I am going for my fifth this Saturday for a good cause.

Working with Greg at REOC was a great privilege. He was kind, thoughtful and pragmatic and always thinking about what would most benefit the students and the community. It has been a pleasure to eat in the new facilities, and to see how far he has brought the EOC Culinary Arts program. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I remember Greg at the starting line of an Irondequoit 10K, beginning his venture to do an Ironman. He was also a great classmate at BKHS. I don't race anymore, but will think of him in my jogs through the woods, as I do for Don.

Greg added so much to REOC with his energy and focus. He always set the bar high and challenged all of us to reach for it. Greg was incredibly positive person, but with his feet firmly planted. I admired him for the strong man that he was and for the powerful role model to his colleagues and students. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in this hour of grief.

We are saddened at Greg's departure. I had been corresponding from last year on social media site. So much to catch up on. He was very happy with his life. Greg was always a friend. We shared a life of growing up in Sylvia Lane, Carol Dr area. Always great guy, even when he was tossing snowballs at me! Carol Drive was the gauntlet during Winter! These things are tough because we never see them coming. Blessings to family and his wife. We will keep Greg's soul in our prayers.

Christo Family-
The SUNY UCAWD Family offers our prayers of comfort at this time. Greg was a true professional and friend, who we have worked with over the past 13-years here in Albany. He would attend the annual Black and Hispanic Caucus Weekend in Albany every February with a carload of aspiring chefs from the REOC and a tray of his famous Valentine's Day cookies. He will be truly missed but know that he was loved by everyone that he touched.
God's blessings and prayers be with you,
Kent Goldwire, SUNY Senior Staff Associate
