Ron and I were saddened to here of Ron's passing. We always enjoyed being around him. He always made us smile and laugh. We first met Ron at BOCES and enjoyed working with him. We also enjoyed working with him in the Bus Roadeo. We will miss him and the occasional walk down memory lane.
Our condolences go out to his family in this time of sadness.

I have very fond memories of Ron when our children were young. He was a very nice man, easy to talk to, and a very gentle soul.
My condolences to Kathryn Simmons, and to their children who clearly loved their dad.
May you share his memories and remember all the special moments. Laugh and joke through the tears, tell stories that only Ron would appreciate. May he always be on your mind and in your heart.
Much love, Robyn, Brian and Kathryn Fitzgerald

I was a schoolmate of Ron's at Irondequoit High, and in particular a colleague at WIRQ. (I also seem to remember knowing him many years earlier, perhaps in elementary school, but it's not clear.) We used to tease the poor guy a lot, but I don't remember him ever getting upset or angry, about that or anything else. He was a truly gentle soul, though we didn't fully appreciate that, as high schoolers. Somewhere, I'm sure I still have a few moments of his voice on an old tape or two.
I heard later that he was quite active in the Toastmasters organization, and I admired that (from afar) as something I would have been terrified to attempt. So, to me, Ron was also courageous.
Our mutual friends lost track of him and we are collectively saddened that our only news in many years is of his passing. Please accept my most sincere condolences for your loss.

I knew Ron in High School.
We were both in the radio station, WIRQ.
I am shocked to hear of his passing. My condolences to all of those who loved him.
