Obituary of William M. Herring

Herring, William M. Irondequoit: Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the age of 91. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Margaret (Lissow) Herring; son, Charles (Janet) Herring; daughters, Marjorie (John) Ellert & Carol Herring; grandchildren, Danielle (Anthony) Ianni, Elizabeth Herring & Kristin (Stephen) Sakowski; great grandchildren, Meredith & Quinton Ianni; sisters-in-law, Irene Lissow & Ruth Herring; many nieces & nephews. Bill grew up in the 10th ward & attended Edison Tech. He was an Army Veteran who served his country in the South Pacific during WWII. He worked for Eastman Kodak as a tool and die maker & foreman. Bill was an avid golfer and longtime member of Durand Eastman Golf Club. He was active in leading the junior golf program & shot his age a few times in his late 80's. His family will receive friends Friday 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday 11:00am at Irondequoit Presbyterian Church.
