Obituary of Gerald F Keating

Webster: October 23, 2015 at age 85. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley; sister, Jean; sons Gerald (Susan), Kevin (Gayle) and Michael, daughter Kathleen Frondorf (David), grandchildren: Matthew (Patricia), Megan, Deirdre Fusco (Daniel), John, Kimberly Frondorf, Andrew Frondorf, Caitlin, Shannon and Michaela.
Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran and graduate of the State University Teachers’ College at Brockport (‘53) and University of Rochester. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa and SUNY Brockport Prometheus Society. He retired as an administrator from Rochester City School District, having spent most of his career at East High School.
A longtime resident of West Irondequoit, Jerry served on the Town Board. He enjoyed tennis, golf and summers on Canandaigua Lake. He loved reading to young grandchildren and attending their activities, celebrating their achievements and dispensing financial advice. Family dogs held a special place in his heart, often benefitting from his love of sweets.
No prior calling. Interment at the convenience of the family. A memorial mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church, Saturday, November 28th at 11 AM.
