Obituary of Stasia J. Callan

Callan, Stasia J.
Webster: Thursday, December 10, 2015. A native of Zakopane, Poland, Stasia is survived by her children, Anne and Christopher Callan; grandson Luborad Callan; and Polish relatives. She was a scholar and a beloved English professor at MCC for 46 years, where she received the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Teaching. She served in leadership positions at several professional organizations and published many articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her hobbies included ballroom and international folk dancing, cooking, and traveling. She will be remembered as a loving, generous, and inspiring person and will be missed.
Friends are invited to meet the family Friday December 18th at 10:00am at ST. STANISLAUS CHURCH for her memorial mass with a reception to follow. Memorials may be directed to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church memorial fund, 34 St. Stanislaus Street, Rochester, NY 14621
