I have vivid memories of Nancy, initially as a teen-age patient of mine, many years ago. From the start, I was impressed by her high intellect, and her bravery, which helped her deal with physical challenges as long as I knew her. Her loving parents helped her face her life with a maturity beyond her years. I’ve been retired from medical practice nearly twenty-five years, but memories of her will always be with me. The list of her academic achievements and social actions is itself a tribute to her strong character. My sincere condolences to her family and many friends. In their mourning, they surely know that hers was a life well lived. I hope to obtain a copy of her memoir, so I can learn more about her life. Sincerely, Donald Tucker, MD
