Cowley, George L
Irondequoit: Sunday, January 24, 2016 at age 88. Predeceased by his wives Mary Jean & Joan and daughter, Bonnie. George is survived by his children, George P., Frederick (Deborah), Christine (Ernie) Pavone, Matthew (Mary), Donna Jean O'Connor (Ronald Phillips), Mary "Meg" Nettnin, Mary Beth Scherberger, Jo Ann (Scott) Pollock, many grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII having served on the USS Colorado. George served as Commander of V.F.W. Post 4658 for many years. He was a retiree of the US Postal service and Eastman Kodak.
His family will receive friends FRIDAY 4:30 - 7:30 PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family SATURDAY 10:00 AM at ST. ANNS HOME CHAPEL for his funeral mass. Interment at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Project Glory Home, c/o Annie's Angel Fund, 1500 Portland Ave., Rochester, NY 14621.
