Schantz, H. Courtney
Rochester: Surrounded by her children, Courtney went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday May 1st 2016. Pre-deceased by her husband, Homer; brothers, Richard, George, Jack & Lawrence Walker. She is survived by her children, David (Jane) W. Schantz; Karl (Janice D. Matheson) H. Schantz, Deborah (George Bartlett) S. Kellogg; sister-in-law, Helen Trussel; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
Courtney worked at Travelers Insurance until she married and became a devoted wife & mother. She loved being with her family and after Homer's retirement they moved to Port Charlotte, Fl. In the summer they loved spending time at their cottage at Brule Lake in Ontario, Canada.
Family will receive friends Monday May 9th from 4-8pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S), where her funeral service will be held Tuesday May 10th at 10:30am. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Irondequoit Concert Band, PO Box 67008, Rochester, NY 14617.
