What a truly incredible man! Don was always great to be around, loved a chat, loved knowing what you were up to and always willing to just keep you company. He had such a contagious laugh. He had a heart of gold and always gave the best hugs. Don and the Ryans will always be a big part of our family for all that they have done for us, opportunities they gave me,every summer, the love they have shown and opened their home to my family and I. I am so glad and thankful that I finally got to introduce Chris to him last summer for the first and only time, and Chris said he felt like he had known him for so much longer. That's the kind of man Don was. Our prayer and thoughts are with the whole Ryan family. Sending all our love from Northern Ireland xx 'Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted'

I am so sad and sorry to hear about your Dad's passing, and have been thinking so much about all of you, Patty, Beth and Bridget. Don was a treasured member of our Irondequoit Bonton family. He would go from receiving to associate with a smile on his face. When he was moved to HR, he was the same old Don. He acted like it was no problem, and he moved into the óffice, took over and took charge. We all admired Don for his optimistic attitude and his love of his family. He is a model for all young people on directing their priorities for life. I worked across the hall from Don when he was in HR, we had many talks about work and family. Don will be missed, he was a inspiration for many of us.

Sending lots of prayers and love. I had many conversations with Don, over a cup of coffee at work, that usually involved him talking about his girls. He loved to tell me stories of Patty and his daughters. He loved the three of you with every ounce in him. I am very saddened to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful man. I will miss him dearly. Mr. Ryan was a man full of kindness. He was a centerpiece of the neighborhood; the spirit of Pontiac Drive! Through all the block parties, pool parties, sleep overs, and babysitters' club gatherings, he was always willing to open his home and heart to an ever growing group of kids!
