Obituary of Gordon John Phillips

Irondequoit: Peacefully at home on October 3, 2009 at age 81 after a long and valiant battle with prostate cancer. Survived by his wife, Suzanne, with whom he had a close and loving relationship although separated for many years, 3 sons by his first wife, Gail Conlin Phillips, Gordon (Debbie), Lake Wylie, S.C., Brian (Vicki), Gregory, daughter, Alissa (Larry) Passantino, loving companion, Leigh Cushman, of Rochester, NY, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, brother, Fred, and dog, Samson. Predeceased by parents Carl and Charlotte Phillips, sister, Mary Lou. Born in Watertown, NY, served 3 years in the Air Force, attended St. Lawrence University and graduated from Albany Law School in 1955. He was the President of Gordon J. Phillips, Inc., a construction company he founded in 1976. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 10th at 11 am at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to Visiting Nurse Hospice & Palliative Care, C/o Visiting Nurse Foundation, 2180 Empire Blvd, Webster, NY 14580
