Peace to the Family, Dr.Klimas was my Russian Professor at the University of Rochester...my favorite class and professor. We lost touch and in 2007 we started corresponding yearly until Danguole's illness which devastated his world. I often said when I get to Heaven I would like to sit in a room with my father, JRR Tolkien and Antanas Klimas. Didele uzuojauta seimynai.

None of the family would know me, but I was a graduate student in Linguistics at the University of Rochester from 1977-79 and I noticed the recent passing of Dr. Klimas. Dr. Klimas was a beloved teacher and mentor to me during my time at the University. I still have a few of his papers and other publications, as well as some of the papers I wrote in his classes. He made a significant and positive impression on my life, which I remember to this day. I had several fine professors while at the U of R, but none more special than Dr. Klimas...he made a difference in my life and I wanted his family to know this! Prayers and thoughts are with you.
