Marion was a friend and neighbor to us on Belmeade Road in Irondequoit for 39 years. Always a smile on her face and full of cheer, we so enjoyed seeing her often whether it be on an aisle in Wegmans or in the early morning coffee group with neighbors in the warm summer months. She will always have a warm spot in our hearts. We wish her family peace with fond memories of this wonderful lady. The slide show was wonderful to watch and to see the love she and Johnnie had for each other. She will be sorely missed.

Marion and Johnny's first home was the lower flat of my parents house. I was born several months before they moved in that November. I used to refer to them as "mir mir" and Johnny "mir mir". Before I could walk I would crawl down the stairs to their home for a visit. I took John and Tom to school for them and I was heartbroken when they moved out of our home. I stayed in touch many years with them even while I was in college and when I had my own children. They were always like another set of parents to me. Some of my best recipes came from Marion. She will always hold a special place in my heart and I am very blessed to have had her in my life.

We were fortunate to have Marion and Johnnie as our next-door-neighbors for over 35 years. They welcomed us to the neighborhood with a party and soon became dear friends. Since our family was out of town, Marion stepped in and included us on Christmas eve and for Easter dinners. She was there for us in times of trouble and of celebration. Marion always was kind and generous to our children and she became our daughter's godmother. For a period of time, we would sit outside together with other neighbors in a circle in our driveway or Marion's and have coffee almost every day. Marion would bring snacks or drinks and was somehow the heart of the group. When Marion left Belmeade Rd., it was a great loss for us. And now we will miss her even more. terreri and pollard families so intertwined all those years on belmeade ... so wonderful to live just across the street from all of you! i loved marion and she was so good to all of us, as was your father & all you kids ... we matched in so many ways. such a loss and i'm so sorry for all of you ... obituary says a "peaceful passing" which is nice to know ... hope tom & my mom met her at the pearly gates to welcome her! thinking of all of you and all we've shared since childhood on! i'm so sorry, karen

We were blessed with having the best neighbors for 18 years. Marion (aka Mrs Wegman) was a surrogate Grandmother to our children and both her and Johnnie always made us feel like part of their family. 4th of July Celebration and the Belmeade Open were the highlights of the year! Our thoughts and prayers are with her extended family - we fondly remember her for being such a huge part of our lives.
