Denny O'Kane was one of the truly bright lights during our four years together at Irondequoit High School on Cooper Road. He was a good-natured guy who seemed to like everyone. I struggled with adolescent identity issues during those high school years, but when Denny was around none of that bothered me in the least. He accepted me as I was, and I accepted him as he was. We rarely spent time with one another outside of school, but when we did, the vibe was always upbeat. Denny brought light to me and many other others during those days. After graduation we didn't meet again until our 42nd and 50th class reunions and although we both had changed over the decades, Denny was still that friendly and accepting person that I had known so many years before.

Condolences to the O'Kane family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says God, "heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds." May God bring you comfort and peace.

Dennis and I served together in the 98th Division. He was a dedicated soldier and a wonderful man. Always up beat and positive, the kind of person that always left you smiling. He will be missed by many. God bless Dennis. Dick Fallon

Linda, so sorry to know of Denny's passing. We do remember his good humor and easy going nature. We have fond memories of friendship with you, Denny, and Taffy. Paul still has the military coat Dennis gave him. His spirit will be by your side always.
