Obituary of Dorothy V. Maurer

Maurer, Dorothy Virginia Irondequoit: Dorothy V. Maurer, born Feb. 6, 1922, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at St. Anne's Nursing Home in Rochester, NY at the age of 94. The fifth child of Armand and Louise (Ribson) Maurer, she is predeceased by her brothers, Dr. Robert Maurer (Dorothy), Father Armand Maurer, C.S.B., and Richard Maurer (Helen) and her sister, Lorraine (F. Richard) Beaucage. She received a Catholic education at the Sacred Heart Cathedral School and Nazareth Academy. She was as a secretary at Eastman Kodak for most of her working career. She enjoyed traveling and playing golf with friends. Dorothy's life was anchored by her strong faith and love of family. She will be missed by her several nieces, nephews and their friends and their cousins who will always remember her as "Aunt Dot." Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday 11:00am at St. Ann's Home Chapel for her funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or donations, Prayers or Mass remembrances are welcome.
