Sending condolences to Phyliss's family and all those who loved her, including her caregivers. I met Phyllis several years ago when I was a new homebound minister, bringing Holy Communion and prayers. I always left Phyliss's home richer than when I entered. Her beautiful spirit was so contagious--she always made it a point to ask what I'd been up to, and looked for something she could do for me. She may no longer be of this earth, but she will be with me forever. Love, Anne

Dear Cousins, My thoughts are with you during this time. I remember your mom as feisty and speaking her mind--a great role model for a girl (me) growing up in the 60's and 70's. She also played euchre with her brothers-in-law when the other women usually didn't. I enjoyed seeing Aunt Phyllis in the memorial video and certainly recognized many of her expressions. I also saw how your family has grown. I'm sure she was proud! With love, Terri Fritz

Glenn, Judy, MaryB, Martha and family. I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a great lady and a good friend to our family. She certainly was one of a kind. There was no mistaking Phyllis Fritz! I know that my mother missed her friendship when mother left Ransford Ave. She tried her best to keep in contact but the memories never faded. Nor will they for me. Mother and the family are saddened that we will not be able to attend the services for your mother as the Fess clan is headed to the mountains today for a week. I know how much your mother enjoyed those times with you all at the ocean. I'm sure you'll understand. We will definitely toast your mother at tonite's dinner. Oh Martha, the memorial video is beautifully done. It captured your mom's shining personality perfectly (especially the one with the kids running and her cracking up). To all my Fritz cousins, children of Aunt Phyllis: I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet wonderful Mom! My heart breaks for each one of you. She was loved by many and so full of life and love -- and so much fun to be around. I remember loving coming to your house when I was a kid. (My mom did, too).
