Obituary of Venanzio A Mascitti

Mascitti, Venanzio A "Vinny The Jeweler" (Webster) Saturday, November 14, 2009. Mr. Mascitti is predeceased by his parents, Venanzio and Quintina, sister, Angela Sansone, and brother, Joseph R. Mascitti. Survived by wife, Suzanne Mascitti ; daughters, Andrea (Nick) Turner, Kimberly Campbell; son,Vincent Deborah) Mascitti; grandaughters, Amanda Campbell,Gina Campbell,Victoria Mascitti; great grandchildren, Arianna Neary and Gabriel Maniero ;sister, Philomena Giambrone; mother-in-law,Anna Pavone; sister-in law, Elaine Pavone; " special cousins",Nicky And Pinky Pascazzi nieces and nephews. In his younger days, Vinny was a Master Carpenter until a disabling accident. He then spent the next 30 years as the face of Eastway Jewelers until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who always knew exactly where to find the fish. He was past president of Lakeshore Kiwanis for 1982-1983 and received the Kiwanis Heroic Service Award for saving 2 children trapped in a burning home. Vinny loved his family very much and having his children and grandchildren with him as much as possible. His family will receive friends TUESDAY 2-4, 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family Wednesday at St. Ritas' Church 1008 Maple Dr. Webster at 9:15 AM . for his funeral mass. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery.
