Jim will be greatly missed! Such a kind, intelligent gentleman. He taught many people a lot about art. He gave me confidence and encouragement as I struggled with paintings. What a wonderful artist he was! So very sorry for your loss.

I am so glad to have know Jim as artist, teacher and friend. He was such an integral part of the Irondequoit Art Club. He will be greatly missed by all. I am especially glad that I had a chance to speak with him one last time earlier this month. My thoughts and prayers are with Peg and the family.

Today, I think of Jim's patience he showed all members of the art club in his gentle critiques of our work; the skills he generously shared in his teaching peer workshops; his leadership of the Wednesday group at Pinegrove and when he held officer positions (including Past President); his height when we had to hang shows in the basement of the old library; his humor when considering all the artists' personalities; his loving life and sharing that love of life organizing the holiday parties with Peg; his working with the great men of the Club; and his well executed beautiful paintings of the sky and locations from his travels, based on his original photographs and inner eye. Uncle Jim was the sweetest man. Every time he came in the Town Hall with his beautiful paintings to share with the folks who came in, he always made sure he saw me & gave me a kiss “hello”. He will be so missed by Aunt Peg and his loving family.
