Jack W. Hummel Irondequoit: Peacefully passed away with family by his side on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the age of 89. Pre-deceased by his beautiful wife, Antoinette; eldest sister, Thelma Raymer. He is survived by his children, Robert (Carol) Hummel, Deborah Bruce, Jacqueline (John) Micillo & Charles (Jeanette) Hummel; sisters, Betty Raymer, Judy (Joe) Kirkham & Martha Chung; 19 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jack proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a dedicated volunteer for the disabled veterans. He retired from General Railway Signal after 37 years, as an Electrical Signal Engineer. Last but not least, Jack leaves behind his faithful and loyal companion, his Jack Russell Terrier puppy dog, "Chipper Jones". His family will receive friends Monday 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.) Friends are invited to meet the family Tuesday 9:30am at St. Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
