Dear Sortino Family Members, I was very sorry to hear of Tony's death from my sister Margaret Christian. We were Tony's neighbors on Kennedy Circle and for 2 years while I went to Aquinas I worked after school at Laverne, Sortino and Noto. It was quite an education for me. Although science was my calling and not the law, I remain very grateful to Tony for giving me the opportunity. He was a very strong and ethical presence in the office and treated everyone with dignity. My best wishes, Michael

Dearest Melanie, I am just so sorry about the loss of your Dad. He certainly fought valiantly through so many challenges. What a wonderful, compassionate, man of honor, truth and justice who enjoyed the greatest gift a person can receive, that being a bounty of dear friends. People were enveloped by his humor and honesty both personally and in his profession. It is no wonder that a man who was a friend to so many had a multitude of people who adored and admired him. Although I had not seen him in quite some time, I will miss him very much. During the years we worked together at Laverne, Sortino & Noto your father was always the spark that made being there a pleasure despite the frantic voice of Tom Laverne!! We had some delightful telephone chats over the past few years and shared a case of two. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your dear family and all the Sortinos.
