Jake went to high school and graduated with my daughter, Katie. He was also in my husband's Boy Scout troup. He had the greatest sense of humor and kept everybody laughing all the time. I am sure he was a great companion to all his patients. I have been following Jake's journey with cancer for awhile now on Facebook and I have always included him in my prayers. While his loss is very sad, it is good to know he was loved by so many people and that he is now pain free, inhabiting his heavenly body. Heartfelt condolences to the Burgholzer family and his many friends from Greg and Carol Brown.

Jake, I'll always remember you fondly, as you were in high school - skinny, with a terrible mullet, a smart mouth, and a big toothy grin. I hope you are resting peacefully now.

I met Jake when I started working at frontier 10 years ago.. We were instant friends and I have a lot of great memories of him.. He made a crappy job better by him being HIM.. His crazy infectious laugh, his amazing personality and his uncanny ability to put a smile on your face will be missed a great deal.. I will always cherish him.. MY thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends..

I knew Jake from the IHS wrestling team. He was always hardworking, kind, and ready with a smile. He has fought valiantly against his awful disease; may he now be able to rest in peace.

I miss you already. Your impact on my life was monumental and i'll never forget you. I wish you didn't have to go but at least your pain and medical treatments are no more. I cry alot, but i hear you saying " Di, cut out the crying. Crying is for ____(edited . Lol!) . And then i laugh. I have funny things running through my head and i hear you telling me funeral jokes and telling me not to be so serious about it. I am beyond heartbroken to not have you alive and well, but I'm so joyful tl have been your friend for decades. I love you buddy. Come visit us, ok? ( to which i hear you saying " ok, i'll watch you take a shower ". Hearing you say this makes things easier. I feel you still close to the earth. Love you

Jake was one of my very best friends in the whole wide world, we spent a ton of time together over the years, playing video games, listening to Zappa (he forced me) and just laughing and enjoying life. I have many fond memories to cherish and I know his family does as well. My condolences go out to all his family and friends, he had so much more to give but I know he is at peace now.
