Dear Jeanne, We are so sorry to hear of Phil’s passing. I have so many wonderful memories of Phil from our time together at Franklin and Marshall. It was always a pleasure to talk gardening and many other topics. I can still remember Phil telling me about your young dogwood tree which had been broken by the wind. Ron and Mary Jo, My sister sent me Phil's obituary from the Rochester newspaper and I was so sorry to see he has passed. I live in Boise, Idaho and would love to hear from you. Jeanne, I am so sorry to hear of Phil's passing. Phil and I worked together at Marshall, and he was also Rachel's counselor during those turbulent teenage years. You and Phil were always devoted to each other, and I am sure you think about the strong bond you had with each other. Our paths in RCSD took different directions, so I didn't see you much, but I have always admired your mediation work and your tremendous skills in that area. Once again I am so sorry for your loss. Few people could have lived life better or more meaningfully than Phil did. Every aspect of what he did had richness, purpose, and conviction. We have been so fortunate to have called him a friend and to have had him in our lives. Kind, caring, funny, focused, diligent -- every possible positive adjective and attribute worked for this fine man. And one of the best parts of his life was his marriage to Jeanne Levin. I have known her for most of my life and she is his match in every way. Our hearts mourn this loss. Our should and spirits cherish his presence.
