I’ve had the pleasure to know Ron for the majority of my life. First as Aaron and Jill’s dad and then as a friend. He has been a major influence on so many kids directly as a coach and indirectly as recreation director of chili I’ve got so many fond memories of him from the speech he gave us on the bus ride to sectional championship in 1990 to the buffalo bills games he took us to as kids When he built the disc golf course in chili he was so proud of it and couldn’t wait to get us kids out there and teach us . We spent many hours out there over of the years and he would point out the changes and improvements every time I’m going to miss the phone calls from him yelling how about them bills Bundy. When I think churchville chili I will always thing of Ron.

Our sympathy to Kathy and Ron’s family. We have great memories during our years on the Royals. He was a great coach and friend. The boys never referred to him as Ron it was always “Mr Fodge” and always will be. He impacted the boys lives in such a positive way. Rest In Peace Ron.

I want to express my sympathy to the family of Ronald Fodge upon his passing. Please know I recall him fondly from our high school days. I was editor-in-chief of our school newspaper, (The Orange and Black), our senior year, and he was always mentioned and featured on our sports page. I recall our class and Ron and offer prayers to his family.

I am so very saddened by Ron's passing. I have known him for a long time. First,as the Rec. Director responsible for the First Class Slo-Pitch leagues in Chili, then I approached him in 1994 (as I was spearheading a drive to introduce a Disc Golf for his tremendous recreation program) to build a course in Chili. He was VERY enthusiastic and told me the town had a terrific spot in which to build one! It was the Baker Farm property on Chili-Scottsville Road. He & his department made this land into the PREMIER disc golf venue in the Rochester area!!!!! It has since hosted the 1999 Worlds Professional Disc Golf Tourney where 25 states and 10 foreign countries were represented. That was a source of much pride for him. He was truly an innovator of recreational programs!!!! Secondly, we even played together in the 2000 & 2001 Amateur World Disc Golf Championships and then worked on installing disc golf courses in Basil Marella Park,MCC, Parma,Churchville Park,& The College @ Brockport.
I consider Ron a true friend and when I am out playing I'll remember our times playing and laughing together! I have tried to emulate Ron's enthusiasm & willingness to introduce new receational opportunites to communities in my second career as a recreation person.
