8FGEn I am Paul Speranza, one of Ann Patti’s nephews. I have known Aunt Ann my entire life. She was always so very kind and thoughtful. She is the last survivor in our family of America’s greatest generation. She was always there for me. When my family moved from the city to East Irondequoit she had me spend time at her home with her sons Len and Bill and that really eased my transition as I was only 11. Her husband Uncle Leonard was my confirmation sponsor and Aunt Ann played a large part in that special day. In turn, I was privileged and honored to be Aunt Ann’s daughter Sher’s Godfather when I was just 16. Her kindness just like that continued for the rest of her life. My wife Cheryl and I would visit Aunt Ann often at her senior living home. We would also bring our dog Puccini to visit. Aunt Ann loved us all including Puccini and she proudly displayed a photograph of her and Puccini in her room. She will be greatly missed. I am sure that she is in heaven with her husband Uncle Leonard and all of her deceased family members including my mother Aunt Rosie. Aunt Ann cherished a letter that Cheryl and I gave to her written by her daughter Sher about her Aunt Rosie when Sher was in school. What a wonderful family. Aunt Ann, Rest In Peace, your loving nephew, Pauly
