Deepest sympathy to Shelley and others regarding David's passing. David supported me during an extremely difficult time in my life. He encouraged me to get an education, taught me how to drive a standard, and protected me when I was lost. For years, I have been extremely grateful to David . While many years passed between us without contact, two years ago I was able to thank David directly. Our last conversation was memorable and I will never forget him. Rest in peace my friend. May God hold you in the palm of his hand

My respect for Dave goes back to the early days of Ashly Audio when I worked next door to their establishment on Jay Street. Years later I was fortunate to have worked for Dave as part of the Ashly family. Dave Malloy made it possible for so many people to make a living in a work environment that valued employees and their families. Ashly Audio employed countless musicians giving them a day job that for many turned into a career. I always felt valued as an employee. I will miss him and always remember how he took time out to celebrate.

Have not seen you in several years. You are one of the warmest and sincere men I've known. Love the picture Shell picked out of you. Same warm eyes and smile. You never changed your kindness for all. No more suffering for you and you will be missed so much. Keep an eye on Shell, she really needs it. Bye for now and much love.

Loved this guy! Taught me a few things over the years at Ashly. He had a bark that would scare the pants off most, but those of us that knew him knew he was just a softee underneath. He will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

My sympathy goes out to Dave's family. I was so sadden to read of his passing. I am an old friend. Dave was my first true love, I still have the jewelry box he bought me for my 19th birthday. I haven't seen him for many years but often thought about him. He was a wonderful person and had a great smile. I will remember him always.

It will be very hard for me without you around. You were always there when I needed you, although it was always interesting on a Sunday afternoonn at half time to discuss our Buffalo Bills.
I love you

Dear Shelly and other family members and friends,
I was saddened to learn of Dave's passing. Though I had not seen him in many years, he figures prominently in many of my fondest childhood memories. We shared a lot of terrific times, mostly playing baseball, football and other sports, both on Hurstbourne Road and with the zany cast of characters at the 52-School-Field where we hung around for a few summers.
As Dave was a couple of years older than I, we were off in different directions in high school. And after finishing high school I no longer resided in Rochester. Over the years, however, my sister, Mary Ann, often updated me on what Dave was doing. I was always impressed with his achievement in founding a business and making a long-term success of it. Not many of the guys we grew up with accomplished anything approaching that.
Please accept my condolences on Dave's passing. I am sorry for your loss and hope that you find consolation in the thought that Dave lived a fulfilling life.
With sympathy,
Len
