I was sorry to hear, Ken and Margaret, that your Mother has died.
Your Mother, my Aunt Shirley was always a favorite and special person of mine. All of her California family always enjoyed her visits when she came out. It was a special time for her two sisters, Caroline, my Mother and Thelma, my Aunt.
Your Mom entertained us on her visits and made us laugh at stories about their childhood antics. She was a great storyteller and she also, kept us in touch with what was happening in your lives, Margaret and Ken, as well as, in the rest of the remaining Rochester relatives.
For me, she was special because we would talk about the past when she I lived at Grandma Nicholson's when we were growing up. We also, relived old memories when we talked on the phone very often while she was at her apt. and then the nursing homes. I was sad when she had to give up the phone calls. I am so happy for my visit to her apt. in June of 2009. We had a lot of fun that day.
I will always remember her with love and fondness. I am sorry for your loss and for ours as well. Both Marie and Cindy and myself wish you peace and strength in this emotionally difficult time. Love, Helen
