James C. Szczepanski

Irondequoit: Swiftly and softly on Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at the age of 74. Predeceased by his parents, Leo and Phyllis; brother, Michael. He is survived by loving wife and best friend of 34 years, Celeste (Babcock) Szczepanski; children, Ron (Ronda) Szczepanski, Sherri Dwyer, Amy (Christopher) Lopez, Robert (Renee) Babcock, Heather Babcock-Sealfon; sister, Janet McNamara; grandchildren, Krystina, Danielle, and Michael Dwyer, Alexis Babcock-Sklair, Cora and Colby Sealfon; sister-in-law, Nancy Szczepanski; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim was a proud Navy Veteran serving on the USS Forrestal during the Vietnam war. He was a retiree of Rochester Products "Delphi" after 30 years of service, a lifetime member of the Polish Falcons Nest 52 serving as Treasurer. Jim was an avid fisherman, bowler, golfer, and a longtime member of Lima Country Club. Jim and Celeste enjoyed their winters in Jacksonville, FL where he enjoyed the warmer weather with his family and many friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

His family will receive friends Monday, October 21st, 3-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Tuesday, October 22nd 10:00am at St. Stanislaus Church for his funeral mass. Interment Arlington National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to his friend, Joseph A. Klein.
