Robert Eugene Gillette

W. Irondequoit: Passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at age 93.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Pressley Gillette; children, Maryanne G. (James) Meleo of Virginia Beach, VA, Laurie A. Gillette of Grand Rapids, MI, James G. (Laurie) Gillette of Seattle, WA, Jeffrey R. (Colleen) Gillette of Webster, NY; brother, Gerald L. Gillette of Livonia, NY; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Maxwell and Lydia (Powell) Gillette. He was born in Batavia, NY. At age 18 he joined the Navy and served as a Seaman 2nd Class during World War II. He was a self-employed Contractor for over 35 years and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He will be greatly missed.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, December 11, 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.), where his funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Golisano Children's Hospital, Office of Advancement, 300 East River Road, P.O.
