Obituary of Margaret C. Ilardo

Our mom passed the century mark to 101 on February 11th. She died quietly and peacefully on April 18, 2020 in the midst of the pandemic affecting the entire world. She is predeceased by her husband John Ilardo who lived to the age of 92. They were married for 69 years. Margaret is survived by her son, John Ilardo and daughter Janet (Ilardo) Edelblute. She has five beautiful & successful grandchildren: John Matthew Ilardo (Gabriella), Joseph Ilardo, Ryan Ilardo (Katie) & her great grandchild Aubrey Elizabeth, Alexandra Edelblute Koshcheyev (Leon), & David Edelblute (Sheleana). Margaret was born in 1919 in Rochester NY where she lived her entire life. She was one of 10 children of Italian immigrants. She lived to an older age than any of her siblings and has one remaining sister, Mildred (Mangone) Pellegrino. She was everyone's favorite aunt, and the list of cousins, nieces, nephews is too numerous to mention, but you all know who you are! At this time, and because of Covid 19, there will be no wake or funeral. Margaret will be buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery with some of her immediate family. A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be at a time, in the future, when it is once again safe for all of us to come together. She lived a very good, long, and happy life because she always saw the bright side and was forever grateful and content with God's blessings.
