Obituary of Joanne M. Bates

Joanne Bates Irondequoit: Passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2020 after many years batteling dementia, at the age of 84. She is predeceased by her parents, Vinny & Rose Bates. Joanne is survived by her brother, Bob (Gloria) Bates; sister, Linda (Reg) McCulloch; nephews and nieces, Dan (Amy) Bates, Debby (Frank) Bray, Patty (Steve) Gessin, Terry (Kelly) Bates, and Bobby (Rachel) Bates; grand nephews, Danny (Carylann), Davis, Tyler, Max, Vinny, Owen and Augie; great grand niece, Isabella Rose; special friend, Sal Pipitone, and many other dear cousins and close friends. Joanne attended Mercy High School, class of 1954, and began a 40 year career at Rochester Telephone Co./Frontier. A special thank you to the staff at Baird Nursing Home for their constant care.
