I first met Ken when we worked on the RJ Community Development Committee almost 20 years ago. He was (and will always be) a great source of knowledge, wisdom and humor on every topic we discussed. Few people have the gift to end every conversation with a laugh or chuckle and I always looked forward to attending events and meetings where he would be present. He taught me patience (or tried to) and I admire his behind the scenes commitment to the community, even right up till the end when he was still serving as an officer on the Chamber of Commerce. A life worth admiring
(And of course, walking into our home unannounced, dressed as Santa Clause when my children, nieces and nephews were very young was fantastic. I had no idea it was him till years later when my mother told me!)

The Red Jacket Community Library will miss Ken for his dedication and devotion to every aspect of the library and the community it serves. He and Arlene were a part of the founding of the library over 20 years ago and it has been a big part of their lives. They also were fundamental in founding the Friends of the Red Jacket Community Library and have served in leadership positions ever since. Ken was president of the group at the time of his passing and worked diligently to raise funds for the current remodeling project at the library. He was a "friend of the library" in every sense of the word and will be sorely missed for his leadership, kindness, enthusiasm, humor, and grace.

Arlene, it is so hard to think of Ken as gone, he was always so full of life. I’m so glad we reconnected when we were planning the Holy Rosary class reunions. Those were such good times and that’s when we all got to know you. Do you remember when Ken dressed in his Santa suit and came to my husband Dave’s Retirement party? No one knew who he was, everyone kept asking me and I said I don’t know, I don’t know anyone that tall. But then I heard his laugh and I knew it was Ken.
Arlene, you and your whole family, are in my thoughts and prayers.
