I was a Public Defender during a part of the time that Bob was an Assistant District Attorney. He was such a gentle man. He was always pleasant and courteous and a very fair prosecutor. He always greeted me with a smile and kind words. When my daughter was buying her first house I was surprised to see that the sellers were Robert and Barbara Avery! Bob and Barbara had lived in the house for many, many years and raised their family there. My daughter loves the house and I am sure that a big part of her enjoyment of the house is the fact that such a wonderful family lived there before her. Our heartfelt condolences and best wishes to Bob’s family.

Thank you so much for your lovely memory of my dad. It’s been so nice to hear recollections about my father. My parents loved the house and were glad that your daughter loved it as well.
