Norma will be remembered as a strong and loving mother, sister and friend to everyone she met. Born in Arroyo, Puerto Rico, Norma was proud of her heritage and her family. She was full of laughter and fun, always dancing along to her favorites from Hector Lavoe to Bruno Mars. She was a trusted confidant who stood by everyone's side, always cheering them on and praying for their success. Her hilarious, trademark laugh could uplift any spirit and often did. She was a woman of faith - open-minded in her thinking and spirituality - and yet grounded in her belief in God. She loved a good book, all things sweet, flowers and the brightest colors possible.
Norma was a sunny day, a cheerful bumble bee atop a delicate petal, a gentle stream of water flowing out to sea. She was the best things in life warmly wrapped up in one of her famous "huggies". She was the sweetest breeze that kissed your cheek and softly held your hand in hers. She was "Ma", "Wela", "Titi" and "Mi Hermana". She was so very special to all.
Her family will receive friends Sunday, January 3, 1-4 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Monday, January 4, 10:00 am at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish at St. Michael's for her funeral mass. Interment will follow at Irondequoit Cemetery.
